Sometimes It Snows In April

Sometimes It Snows In April

By Prince
Metro Lyrics
April 30, 2016

Tracy died soon after a long fought civil war,
Just after I'd wiped away his last tear

I guess he's better off than he was before,
A whole lot better off than the fools he left here

I used to cry for Tracy because he was my only friend,
Those kind of cars don't pass you every day

I used to cry for Tracy because I wanted to see him again,
But sometimes life ain't always that way

Sometimes it snows in April
Sometimes I feel so bad

Sometimes I wish life was never ending,
And all good things, they say, never last

Springtime was always my favorite time of year,
A time for lovers holding hands in the rain

Now springtime only reminds me of Tracy's tears,
Always cry for love, never cry for pain

He used to stay so strong unafraid to die,
Unafraid of the death that left me hypnotized

Now, staring at his picture I realized,
No one could cry the way my Tracy cried

Sometimes it snows in April
Sometimes I feel so bad

Sometimes I wish that life was never ending,
And all good things, they say, never last

I often dream of heaven and I know that Tracy's there,
I know that he has found another friend

Maybe he's found the answer to all the April snow,
Maybe one day I'll see my Tracy again

Sometimes it snows in April
Sometimes I feel so bad, so bad

Sometimes I wish that life was never ending,
But all good things, they say, never last

All good things, they say, never last,
And love, it isn't love, until it's past

Dear Prince

Dear Prince

By Expotera

Dear Prince:

Jose Marti once said, "Mankind is composed of two sorts of men,
those who love and create, and those who hate and destroy."

Dear Prince:

Napoleon Hill once said, "Great achievement is usually born of great
sacrifice, and is never the result of selfishness."

Dear Prince:

Malcolm Gladwell once said, "The visionary starts with a clean sheet
of paper, and re-imagines the world."

Dear Prince:

Ralph Waldo Emerson once said, "Do not go where the path may
lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail."

Dear Prince:

John C. Maxwell once said, "A leader is one who knows the way,
goes the way, and shows the way."

Dear Prince:

Arthur Schopenhauer once said, "Talent hits a target no one else
can hit; Genius hits a target no one else can see."

Dear Prince:

Ogwo David Emenike once said, “Accept and express your
underlying certitude, and it shall be worldwide sagacity.”

Dear Prince:

Jay Griffiths once said, "As a writer you have a duty to be
a messenger."

Dear Prince:

Alfred Nobel once said, "The savants will write excellent volumes.
There will be laureates. But wars will continue just the same until
the forces of the circumstances render them impossible."

Dear Prince:

Marvin Gaye once said, "Great artists suffer for the people."

Dear Prince:

Florence Scovel Shinn once said, "Man is only here to prove God and
to bear witness to the truth and he can only prove God, by bringing
plenty out of lack and justice out of injustice."

Dear Prince:

Anne Sexton once said, "Saints have no moderation, nor do poets,
just exuberance."

Dear Prince:

President Nelson Mandela once said, "Our deepest fear is that we
are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that
frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous,
talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a
child of God. Your playing small doesn't serve the world. There's
nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel
insecure around you. We were born to make manifest that glory of
God, that is within us; It's in everyone. And as we let our own light
shine, we consciously give other people permission to do the same.
As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically
liberates others."

Dear Prince:

Boys To Men once said, "It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday."

Dear Prince:

I very simply now say, thank you for letting your own, "Light Shine"
down upon all of us who knew, loved, cared, respected, admired,
appreciated, and adored you, for just being, "You" because there
will never, ever, ever, ever, be another, "Prince" because there will
never, ever, ever, be any one else like, "You" so may you now and
forever, "Rest In Peace" our very, very, very, dear old Friend, and
may you now and forever, "Rest In Love" our very, very, beautiful
Brother, from a different very, very, beautiful Mother, and may you
now and forever, "Rest In Perfection" because you will never, ever,
ever, be forgotten and your Body of Work will last forever, and may
you now and forever, "Rest In Purple" because this was your color of
choice and this is now our color of, "Pride" in you, our one and only,

The Sacrifice of Victor

The Sacrifice of Victor

By Prince
Metro Lyrics
April 26, 2016

What is sacrifice?
We, we, we, we sacrifice

N P G in mass attack, Sonny, please
We sacrifice

Church if you will, please turn to the book of Victor
We sacrifice

We like to start at the top if you don't mind
We sacrifice

Don't say it, preacher

I was born on a blood stained table
Cord wrapped around my neck

Epileptic 'til the age of seven
I was sure Heaven marked the deck

We sacrifice

I know, joy lives 'round the corner
Joy for sale down on the corner

We sacrifice

One day I'll visit her, I'm gonna
Out on my block, I'm just a loner

We sacrifice

When she tell me everything
Tell me

That's when the angels sing
Sacrifice

That's when the victory is sho 'nuff
Sho 'nuff down with the sacrifice

We sacrifice

Help me

Don't say it, preacher

Mama held up her baby for protection
From a man with a strap in his hand

Ask the Victor 'bout pain and rejection
You think he don't, when he do understand

We sacrifice

I know, Joy lives 'round the corner
Joy for sale down on the corner

We sacrifice

One day I'll visit her, I'm gonna
Out on my block, I'm just a loner

We sacrifice

When she tell me everything
Tell me

That's when the angels sing
Sacrifice

That's when the victory is sho 'nuff
Sho 'nuff down with the sacrifice

We sacrifice

Help me

S A C R I F I C E

We, we, we sacrifice

Don't say it, preacher

We, we, we sacrifice

Sacrifice, if you turn the page

Don't say it, preacher

1967, in a bus marked, 'Public School'
Rode me and a group of unsuspecting political tools

Our parents wondered what
It was like to have another color near

So they put their babies together to eliminate the fear

We sacrifice

Yes we did fighting one another

Don't say it, preacher

All because of color

We sacrifice

The angel of hate
She taught me how to kick her

If she called me anything but Victor
You mean like nigger?

We sacrifice

If the only thing that tells me is, father time
Then sacrifice is the mutha sublime, we love it

Listen mutha, we sacrifice

Don't, don't, don't say it preacher

We sacrifice

Well, well, well, well,
What is sacrifice?

Hold yo' text, deacon

Never understood my old friends laughing
They got high when everything else got wrong

Pass the booze up here

Dr. King was killed and the streets they started burning
When the smoke was cleared their high was gone

Education got important so important to Victor
A little more important than ripple and weed

Bernadette's a lady and she told me
What she say?

"Whatever you do son
A little discipline is what you need
Is what u need, you need to sacrifice"

We sacrifice

I know, joy lives 'round the corner
Joy for sale down on the corner

We sacrifice

One day I'll visit her, I'm gonna
Out on my block, I'm just a loner

We sacrifice

When she tell me everything
Tell me

That's when the angels sing
Sacrifice

That's when the victory is sho 'nuff
Sho 'nuff down with the sacrifice

We sacrifice

What is sacrifice?

We sacrifice

S A C R I F I C E

We sacrifice

Hey Wendy, how come we

We sacrifice

'Scuse me y'all

We sacrifice

We don't don't mean to take up yo' time

Joy around the corner

But we got something heavy on our minds

We sacrifice

Yes, we do

We sacrifice

Sometimes, you gotta leave the one you love

We sacrifice

Somebody, anybody, everybody wave your hand

We sacrifice

Around the corner, there's another sacrifice

Joy around the corner

But you got to do the best you can, y'all

Joy around the corner

Say you got to go through it
Go through it

Joy around the corner

You got to go through it all
Go through it all

Joy around the corner

Sell it, don't tell it, don't tell me
High glory, yeah

Joy around the corner

Lord, I might get tired
But I, I've got to keep on

We sacrifice

Keep on walking down this road
Joy around the corner

We sacrifice

When I reach my destination
My name will be, Victor

We sacrifice

Amen

Controversy

Controversy

By Prince
Metro Lyrics
April 24, 2016

I just can't believe all the things people say,
Controversy

Am I black or white, am I straight or gay?
Controversy

Do I believe in God, do I believe in me?
Controversy

I can't understand human curiosity,
Controversy

Was it good for you, was I what you wanted me to be?
Controversy

Do you get high, does your daddy cry?
Controversy

Do I believe in god, do I believe in me?
Some people want to die so they can be free

I said life is just a game, we're all just the same,
Do you want to play?

Controversy
Controversy
Controversy

If you believe in God, say it with me,

Our father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven
Give us this day our daily bread and forgive us our trespasses
As we forgive those who trespass against us
Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from evil
For thine is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever
and ever

Controversy
Controversy
Controversy

Love him, love him baby

People call me rude, I wish we all were nude
I wish there was no black and white, I wish there were no rules

People call me rude, I wish we all were nude
I wish there was no black and white, I wish there were no rules

People call me rude, I wish we all were nude
I wish there was no black and white, I wish there were no rules

People call me rude, I wish we all were nude
I wish there was no black and white, I wish there were no rules

Do I believe in God, do I believe in me?

Let me tell ya,
Some people want to die so they can be free

I said life is just a game, we're all just the same,
Don't ya want to play?

Ooh, ooh

Prince's Purple Reign

Prince's Purple Reign

By Expotera
April 22, 2016

Yesterday our world loss a very, very, very, special, "Human Being"
and to those of us who were born in a place called Minneapolis,
Minnesota we also loss a very, very, very, special, "Minnesotan"
as well, Prince.

My older sister and Prince went to and both graduated from
Minneapolis Central High School back in 1976 and our families
each attended and belonged to the same Church as all of us
were growing up as well, Sabathani Baptist Church.

So today my heart is broken, but for as long as I live, I will never,
ever, ever, forget about, "Prince's Purple Reign" and I guess this is
also what it now sounds like when grown men such as myself, and,
"Doves Cry" as well.

So inclosing and in the final words of, The Man, The Husband,
The Father, The Son, The Brother, The Friend, The Activist,
The Businessman, The Humanitarian, The Mentor, The Actor,
The Boss, The Artist, The Musician, The Writer, The Leader,
The Entertainer, The Composer, The Producer, The Director,
The Visionary, The Messenger, The Prophet, The Poet, The Idol,
The Superstar, The Genius, The Icon, and, "The Legend" himself,
Prince:

Dearly beloved
We are gathered here today
To get through this thing called life

Electric word life
It means forever and that's a mighty long time
But I'm here to tell you
There's something else

The after world
A world of never ending happiness
You can always see the sun, day or night....

Take me away....

An Open Letter To Mark Zuckerberg

An Open Letter To Mark Zuckerberg

By Expotera
April 14, 2016

Hey Mark, it's me, Tony.

Say I just want to let you know that I caught your little,"speech"
the other day, you know the one in which you personally tried to
twist, as well as personally tried to, "Molest" Mr. Trump's words
in regards to the building of a, "Wall" to try to help to protect our
Country's southern border.

Well Mark, all I can now really and honestly say here is, you are
a man who now spends 7 days a week, as well as 24 hours a day,
living, working, playing, and sleeping, behind many, many, "Walls"
as well as many, many, other forms and layers of, "Security" as
well.

And Mark, let's face it, you are not now living your entire life
behind all these many, many, many, "Walls" as well as all of these
other many, many, many, forms and layers of, "Security" because
your rich and famous.

Mark, you are now having to live your life like this because you are
a coward, and a, "Thief" and you now have a number of people on
this Earth who don't, "Like" you, which is why you now have to live
from behind the, "WALL" Mark.

So inclosing and with all due respect Mark, if I were you, I would
just sit down, and I would just shut up, because, "Donald Trump"
is not a coward, nor is he a, "Thief" like you, Mark, because your,
"Hypocrisy" as well as your shit, totally, "Stinks" here, and it can
be seen and it can also be smelled from millions, upon millions of
miles away.

And Mark, in regards to your Facebook e-mail team now notifying
me that my, "tony.whitcomb@facebook.com" e-mail address will
no longer be available to me, in the final words of Hillary Clinton,
"What Difference Does It Make" Mark, because at the end of the day
sticks and stones may break my bones, but loosing my Facebook
e-mail account won't, "Hurt" me Mark, but if you keep talking trash
about all of the wrong people, I can't honestly say the very exact
same thing for you, Mark.

So Mark, go in, "Peace" and more importantly, just keep your mouth
shut until you are willing to stop living from behind your own,
"WALL" Mark Zuckerberg.

Obama's Legacy of Debt

Obama's Legacy of Debt

By Expotera
April 11, 2016

The U.S. Federal Government has borrowed and has now racked up
more than $19 trillion dollars in debt.

The U.S. National Debt is now bigger than the entire U.S. Economy.

The U.S. National Debt was $10.626 trillion dollars the first day
President Barack Obama took office back on January 20, 2009.

The U.S. National Debt as of today, April 11, 2016 is,
$19.134 trillion dollars.

Back on July 3, 2008 and one day before, "Independence Day" then
Senator Barack Obama said that President George Bush had been
both, "Irresponsible" and, "Unpatriotic" for adding over $4 trillion
dollars to the U.S. National Debt back at that time and during
Bush's eight years as President.

The Washington Post and the US Treasury's official website indicate
that President Barack Obama has now increased the U.S National
Debt by $10 trillion dollars since he has now been in office.

So How much is $10 trillion dollars?

If written out its $10,000,000,000,000, but that doesn't even begin
to express the magnitude of just how much money this really is.

$10 Trillion Dollars is more than enough money to:

- build a new $25 million school ....every six hours...until
the year 2043 ... ($1 trillion)

- build 200 hospitals at $100 million each....in each of the
50 states... ($1 trillion)

- have more money than a lottery that gave away a million dollars
every day from the time of Jesus Christ, up into this present day...
($730 billion)

- pay every man, woman, and child, in the State of Wyoming,
over 585 thousand people, $100,000 a year for the next 10 years...
($500 billion)

- buy every single car produced in America for the entire year
and give them all away... ($570 billion)

- hire 1000 top scientists at $500,000 salary each and give them
each a million dollar budget for research into curing cancer for
10 years... ($15 billion)

- make a stack of $100 bills that is as high as the Eiffel Tower and
burn them, every evening before bed, for five years... ($1 trillion)

President Barack Obama has now overseen the largest debt
explosion in U.S. history.

The interest payments on the current U.S. National Debt
are in the neighborhood of $100 million dollars an hour.

Washington’s crazed debt addiction is uncontrollable and endemic.

U.S. politicians have now strapped an inconceivably large debt
burden, directly onto the backs of the American People.

While often described as, “The Richest Nation In The World,” the
reality is, the United States of America is, "The Most Indebted
Nation In The World."

No other government in the world even comes close to matching
the debt burden that has now been dumped onto every U.S.
taxpayer.

The U.S. government is rampantly incurring debt in your and my
name, and you and I have no way to stop it or to slow it down.

Standing in free speech zones with protest signs didn’t work when
it came to stopping the war(s), or when it came to stopping the
wall street crony bailouts, and it also won’t work for stopping the
debt burden either.

The U.S. government has now overspent our money, not by $1
trillion dollars, not by $2 trillion dollars, or $5 trillion dollars,
or even $10 trillion dollars for that matter.

The U.S. government has now overspent your and my hard
earned money, as well as money not even yet earned by
our children, and/or by our grandchildren, by well over,
$19 trillion dollars.

So how much is a $1 Trillion Dollars?

Well a million seconds is 11.5 days, a billion seconds is almost
32 years, and a trillion seconds is almost 32,000 years.

So if you spent one dollar every second around the clock,
it would take you 31,688 years to spend $1 trillion dollars.

Now if we wanted to pay down a trillion dollars of the U.S.
National Debt, paying one dollar per second, with no interest,
it would take us almost 32,000 years to accomplish this.

Western civilization hasn't even existed for 32,000 years.

You, and I, didn’t overspend or create this $19 trillion dollars
of debt.

Our government did.

But you, and I, and our families, are all now on the hook for it all.

So how long will it take for you, and I, and our families, to pay
for all of their overspending?

To pay back one trillion dollars, at a rate of one dollar per second,
would take 31,688 years.

The median American household income is about $50,000 per year.

That translates to less than one tenth, of one cent, per second.

So if your family earns $50,000 per year and if you spend none
of that on food, rent, transportation, income tax, or pursuing
your own happiness, and if you take all of your family’s
household income and use it to pay off just $1 trillion dollars
of the current U.S. national debt, it would take you and your
family, "32 MILLION YEARS" to pay off this debt.

Now multiply that number by 19, because the United States of
America is now over $19 trillion dollars in debt, and 32 million
years, multiplied by 19, equals, "608,000,000 MILLION YEARS."

That’s Six Hundred and Eight Million Years.

That's Criminal.

That’s Insane.

That's Treasonous.

That's Our Government.

That's Our Reality.

That's Obama's Legacy.

Flint State of Mind

Flint State of Mind

By Chris Steele
Dissident Voice
April 9, 2016

Phony actors I dismiss them,
When they talk I don't listen,
Grinding like a pistol,
To help Flint my mission.

First things first,
We handcuff the Governor,
Then put all the Mothers,
In charge of the Government.

The Mayor was getting bottled water,
Journalist discovered it,
Lead stays in the brain,
Legionnaires is causing suffering.

The schools are falling apart,
But nothing is being spent,
Black mold and rats,
The Teachers had enough of it.

The Students won't put up with it,
Teachers doing sickouts,
Reminds me of the 30's,
The Motor City sit downs.

The National Guard came,
With tear gas and bayonets,
Money's is their Puppeteer,
They're all Marionettes.

Then Reagan came,
And shipped their Jobs overseas,
Now you got Foreclosed Homes,
And rusty Factories.

They say they got the Truth,
But their facts are Profanities.

America where you at?
The System never had Sanity.

So why you looking for the answers,
from Limbaugh or Hannity?

You can't stop a pack of wolves,
This is the Bonfire of the Vanities.

Why is it news,
Cam Newton won't do an interview,
The real news is,
Governor Snyder won't do one too.

He declined to talk,
And to testify to Congress,
But we got people doing life for weed,
The System is a Monster.

Over a million people came out,
For the Broncos parade,
But where's the people for Justice,
Let's pull the mask off this Masquerade.

In 2014,
People couldn't afford their water bill,
They shut off the tap,
But the Golf Courses had water still.

Even though they owed Thousand's,
This is how The System Fails.

Then Social Services came,
And took Son's and Daughter's,
Over a two hundred dollar bill,
Because they closed the pipes for water.

The UN said it was Criminal,
The opposite of Minimal,
Explicit Racism,
Forget the Subliminal.

Fast forward,
To the GOP debates in Detroit,
Rubio praises the Governor,
Snyder they Anoint.

We Journalist they don't wanna see Us,
Forget about Gilbert Arenas.

Shout to Amy Goodman,
The Truth she helps us see It.

Flint is thirsty for Democracy,
Death to Hypocrisy,
It's like they're Greek Oligarchs,
And were all Socrates.

No God's no Master's,
No one is the Boss of Me,
Shout to Flint Defense League,
Exposing all of the Mockery.

I hope they throw Snyder in Prison,
And throw the Key in the River,
So it could Corrode,
Man that's Justice Delivered.

They privatize Everything,
Like the Logic in their Brain,
That's why your Water is Brown,
And their pockets Inflamed.

They want ID's for Water,
They're rules are Disgusting,
It's time to take the City Back,
Cuz they treat People like Nothing.

They tried to save $5 Million,
By poisoning Kids,
Then they buried the Facts,
But the Truth can't be Hid.

The People tested the Water,
For Lead by Themselves,
Then held a Press Conference,
And told Everyone Else.

Direct Action get's the Good's,
That's Mutual Aid,
When We all come Together,
That's when Power is Afraid.

Martin Luther King

Martin Luther King

By Adolph G. H. Kreiss
Tuesday, April 5, 2016

Man was intended, from Creation's very start,

As God's own handiwork, to walk in dignity,

Regardless of his color, race, or creed of heart,

To share the sacred birthright of equality

In freedom's true enjoyment -- fully, not in part,

Not in a "half free and half slave" society.

Long, might unjustly walk where right was meant to reign,

Unduly segregating men of equal worth.

The "masters" who were exercising this domain

Had only one excuse: the accident of birth,

Establishing their own prestige and selfish gain,

Restricting you to inferiority and dearth.

Keep up the gallant fight and hold your battle station

In conscience-guided grandeur, as you have begun,

Not ever injuring the honor of our nation!

God grant you strength until your holy cause has won!

His Dream Lives On

His Dream Lives On

They said one to another, behold, here cometh the dreamer.
Let's us slay him and we shall see what will become of his dreams.
- Genesis 37: 19-20

By The Eastwood School
Monday, April 4, 2016

Today is a day we all sing
In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King

Wherever people fight to be free
His name is remembered with dignity

When black people weren't being treated right
He stood strong to lead the fight

He fought with love not guns or darts
He changed peoples' minds and their hearts

But some people didn't like his words
He was taken away to a better world

Yet his dream lives on that all can be free
When we knock down walls between you and me

Dr. Martin Luther King's life did not last
But his dream and his spirit are free at last

Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. (January 15, 1929 – April 04, 1968) was
an American Baptist Minister, Activist, Humanitarian, and Leader
in the African-American Civil Rights Movement.

Dr. King became a civil rights activist early in his career and he led
the 1955 Montgomery Bus Boycott and helped found the Southern
Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) in 1957, serving as its first
President.

Dr. King also helped to organize the 1963 March on Washington,
where he delivered his famous, "I Have a Dream" speech and he
established his reputation as one of the greatest Orators in
American history.

On October 14, 1964, Dr. King received the Nobel Peace Prize
for combating racial inequality through nonviolence.

In 1965, he helped to organize the Selma to Montgomery marches,
and the following year he and SCLC took the movement north to
Chicago to work on segregated housing.

In the final years of his life, Dr. King expanded his focus to include
poverty, as well as speaking out against the Vietnam War, with a
1967 speech which was entitled, "Beyond Vietnam".

In 1968, Dr. King was planning a national occupation of Washington,
D.C., to be called the, "Poor People's Campaign" when he was,
"Assassinated" on April 04, 1968, in Memphis, Tennessee.
