Fight With Peace

Fight With Peace

By Marwa Balkar
November 30, 2015

Dear @realdonaldtrump, My name is Marwa, and I am a Muslim.

I heard you wanted us the start wearing ID badges,
so I decided to choose one for myself.

I am not easily identifiable as a ‪‎Muslim‬ just by looking at me,
so my new badge will let me display proudly who I am.

I chose the peace sign because it represents my ‪Islam‬.

The one that taught me to oppose ‪‎injustice‬ and yearn for ‪unity‬.

The one that taught me that killing one innocent life is equivalent
to killing humanity.

I heard you want to track us as well.

Great!

You can come with me on my Cancer Awareness walks at the local
middle school, or you can follow me to work where it's my job to
create happiness.

You can also see how my local mosque makes PB&J sandwiches
for the homeless and hosts interfaith dinners where everyone is
welcome.

Maybe then you'll see that me being Muslim doesn't make me any
less American than you are.

Maybe if you walk in my footsteps, you can see that I am not any
less human than you are.

Salaamu alaikum

Can Western Decadence Last?

Can Western Decadence Last?

By Adbusters.org
November 29, 2015

While the West has been living lavishly for sixty years, consuming
with such ferocity that the trajectory of the planet’s biosphere has
been forever altered, the rest of the world has become angry, sick
of it all and willing to do whatever it takes to produce a better way
of life for themselves.

Because after all of the promises made and broken by the World
Bank, the IMF, the United Nations, the rest of the world has lost
its patience.

The Islamic State is but a beginning of the kinds of self-organizing
that will occur once the latest round of pacifist, neo-political
activism fails.

The West is bloated, soft and decadent.

This decadence will not last; it never has and never will.

A Prayer For Thanksgiving

A Prayer For Thanksgiving

By Joseph Auslander
November 25, 2015

We thank you for our daily bread,
For faith by which the soul is fed,
For burdens given us to bear,
For hope that lifts the heart's despair.

We thank thee Lord, for eyes to see,
The truth that makes, and keeps, men free;
For faults - and the strength to mend them
For dreams - and courage to defend them.

We have so much to thank thee for,
Dear Lord, we beg not one boon more,
Peace in the hearts of all men living,
Peace in the whole world on this Thanksgiving.

Dogs of War

Dogs of War

By Pink Floyd
MetroLyrics.com
November 24, 2015

Dogs of war and men of hate
With no cause, we don't discriminate

Discovery is to be disowned
Our currency is flesh and bone

Hell opened up and put on sale
Gather 'round and haggle

For hard cash, we will lie and deceive
Even our masters don't know the web we weave

One world, it's a battleground
One world, and we will smash it down

One world ... One world

Invisible transfers, long distance calls,
Hollow laughter in marble halls

Steps have been taken, a silent uproar
Has unleashed the dogs of war

You can't stop what has begun
Signed, sealed, they deliver oblivion

We all have a dark side, to say the least
And dealing in death is the nature of the beast

One world, it's a battleground
One world, and we will smash it down

One world ... One world

The dogs of war don't negotiate
The dogs of war won't capitulate,

They will take and you will give,
And you must die so that they may live

You can knock at any door,
But wherever you go, you know they've been there before

Well winners can lose and things can get strained
But whatever you change, you know the dogs remain

One world, it's a battleground
One world, and we will smash it down

One world ... One world

Do Not Love The World

Do Not Love The World

By Expotera
Via - 1 John 2:15-17
November 22, 2015

Do not love the world or the things in the world.

If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him.

For all that is in the world--- the desires of the flesh and the desires of eyes and pride in possessions---is not from the Father, but is from the world.

And the world is passing away along with it's desires, but whoever does the will of God abides forever.

The Eagle and The Snake

The Eagle and The Snake

By Omika Armstrong
November 19, 2015

The Eagle does not fight the snake on the ground.

It picks it up into the sky and changes the battle ground,
and then it releases the snake into the sky.

The snake has no stamina, no power, and no balance,
in the air.

It is useless, weak, and vulnerable, unlike on the ground
where it is powerful wise, and deadly.

Take your fight into the spiritual realm by praying and when you
are in the spiritual realm your, "Creator" takes over your battles.

Don't fight the enemy in his comfort zone, change the battle
grounds like the Eagle, and let your, "Creator" take charge
through your earnest prayer.

You'll be assured of clean victory.

Pray without ceasing.

Imagine

Imagine

By John Lennon
MetroLyrics.com
November 17, 2015

Imagine there's no heaven
It's easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today

Imagine there's no countries
It isn't hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world,

You may say I'm a dreamer
But I'm not the only one
I hope some day you'll join us
And the world will be as one

Steve Jobs Last Words

Steve Jobs Last Words

By Steve Jobs
Via - Peter Bizulca
November 14, 2015

I reached the pinnacle of success in the business world.

In others’ eyes, my life is an epitome of success.

However, aside from work, I have little joy.

In the end, wealth is only a fact of life that I am accustomed to.

At this moment, lying on the sick bed and recalling my whole life,
I realize that all the recognition and wealth that I took so much
pride in, have paled and become meaningless in the face of
impending death.

In the darkness, I look at the green lights from the life supporting
machines and hear the humming mechanical sounds, I can feel the
breath of god of death drawing closer…

Now I know, when we have accumulated sufficient wealth to last
our lifetime, we should pursue other matters that are unrelated
to wealth…

Should be something that is more important:

Perhaps relationships, perhaps art, perhaps a dream from younger
days ...

Non-stop pursuing of wealth will only turn a person into a twisted
being, just like me.

God gave us the senses to let us feel the love in everyone’s heart,
not the illusions brought about by wealth.

The wealth I have won in my life I cannot bring with me.

What I can bring is only the memories precipitated by love.

That’s the true riches which will follow you, accompany you,
giving you strength and light to go on.

Love can travel a thousand miles.

Life has no limit.

Go where you want to go.

Reach the height you want to reach.

It is all in your heart and in your hands.

What is the most expensive bed in the world? - "Sick bed" …

You can employ someone to drive the car for you, make
money for you but you cannot have someone to bear the
sickness for you.

Material things lost can be found. But there is one thing
that can never be found when it is lost – "Life".

When a person goes into the operating room, he will realize
that there is one book that he has yet to finish reading –
"Book of Healthy Life".

Whichever stage in life we are at right now, with time,
we will face the day when the curtain comes down.

Treasure Love for your family, love for your spouse, love for
your friends...

Treat yourself well.

Cherish others.

The Eternal Soldier

The Eternal Soldier

By Mark Vine
WarPoetry.co.uk
November 11, 2015

I am the eternal soldier; I’m there when you need me,
Fighting for your liberties, down every century.

Standing on the front-line, bleeding for your cause,
Just a name on a memorial, at which you never pause.

I halted the Armada, stood my ground at Marston Moor,
I was in the line at Minden, and I heard the Zulu roar,
I was in the square at Waterloo, and fought the fearless Boers,
And I was gassed in the trenches of the war to end all wars …….

I piloted a Spitfire, stormed the beach at Normandy,
Froze to death in Korea, and I yomped to Port Stanley,
I was bombed to hell in Basra, under fire in old Kabul,
I am a deadly Exocet, a politician’s tool.

Yet all I ask is wages, and three square meals a day,
To lay my life upon the line, to live in harms way.

But it’s the same old story, when your victory is won,
Then I’m just an embarrassment, with a loaded gun.

And the debt is soon forgotten, when the nightmares come to call,
When each night I hear my best friend scream and helpless, watch him fall,

I’m told to snap out of it, I’m told big boys don’t cry,
And I’m left to drink myself to death and on a cold street die.

I halted the Armada, stood my ground at Marston Moor,
I was in the line at Minden and I heard the Zulu roar,
I was in the square at Waterloo and fought the fearless Boers,
And I was gassed in the trenches of the war to end all wars …….

I piloted a Spitfire, stormed the beach at Normandy
Froze to death in Korea and I yomped to Port Stanley,
I was bombed to hell in Basra, under fire in old Kabul,
I am a deadly Exocet, a politician’s tool.

I march on your decision, anywhere in this wide world,
In places where our flag had no right to be unfurled.

And I’m not asking for riches, I want nothing for free,
The only thing I’m asking for, Is a measure of dignity.

For I am the eternal soldier; I’m there when you need me,
Fighting for your conscience, down every century.

And I’m standing on the front-line, bleeding for your cause,
Just a name on a memorial, at which you never pause.

Zionism

Zionism

By Abu Maryam Hendrix
Via - American's Against Genocide In Gaza
November 9, 2015

Zionism is an inherent demonic ideology that can’t be reformed
or even humanized to represent authentic Judaism, since the
very essence of Zionism represents the ultimate antithesis of
truth, justice, peace, and even humanity.

Hence, coexisting with Zionism would necessitate that non-Jews
accept a dehumanized status of constantly persecuted slaves,
without freedom, without dignity and without a future.

Isn’t this what millions of Palestinians have been experiencing
since the misbegotten birth of Israel?

In the annals of history, such a state, which adopts dishonesty as
its policy, criminality as its shield and racism as its soul, will not
last long.
