Letter to the Ruling Class

Letter to the Ruling Class
By Jesse Ventura
Posted April 28, 2011

You control our world.

You’ve poisoned the air we breathe, contaminated the water
we drink, and copyrighted the food we eat.

We fight in your wars, die for your causes, and sacrifice our freedoms to protect you.

You've liquidated our savings, destroyed our middle class, and
used our tax dollars to bailout your unending greed.

We are slaves to your corporations, zombies to your airwaves, servants to your decadence.

You've stolen our elections, assassinated our leaders, and abolished our basic rights as human beings.

You own our property, shipped away our jobs, and shredded our unions.

You've profited off of disaster, destabilized our currencies, and raised our cost of living.

You've monopolized our freedom, stripped away our education,
and have almost extinguished our flame.

We are hit… we are bleeding… but we ain’t got time to bleed.

We will bring the giants to their knees and you will witness our revolution!

Sincerely,

The Serfs

Why We Are Totally Finished

Why We Are Totally Finished

In A Nutshell: Corporatocracy Has Replaced Capitalism

Capitalism Fixes Problems & Preserves Democracy: Capitalism is
what we should be relying on to fix our problems. Capitalism has
it's own ecosystem, just like biology's ecosystem.

An economic ecosystem that weeds out the weak, has parasites
that eat the failures and new bacteria that evolves and grows
replacements for that which failed. A system that keeps everything
in balance.

The problem is we are no longer a capitalistic society. What we were taught in school is now utter and absolute nonsense. Capitalism is a thing of the past.

As outlined in "It's Not A Financial Crisis - It's A Stupidity Crisis" we created two back to back bubbles. The air out of the Tech Bubble was sucked up for fuel by our next stupidity crisis: The Housing Bubble.

Now, after the second Stupidity Crisis there isn't a third bubble to inflate.

If we still lived in a capitalistic environment the banks and financial institutions that created loans for folks who should have remained renters and then sold those loans as investments to pensions and countries would have been cleansed by capitalism's ecosystem.

But that isn't what happened.

In a very anti-capitalistic move the government decided that
stupidity and criminal activity should be rewarded. I'd say they
took our money, but it is worse, we didn't have that much money.

So they borrowed the money in our name. The loan has a variable rate. They borrowed so much money that our kids cosigned the loan. In fact, our kid's future kid's signed on the dotted line.

That is unequivocally immoral.

They gave that borrowed money to a bunch of morons as a reward
for stupidity. Morons who created subprime loans, liar loans, no
income no documentation loans and other fraudulent instruments.

Morons bundled that trash, got it rated AAA and then sold these
turds or weapons of mass destruction that they had the audacity
to name complex financial instruments or derivatives to pension
funds, countries and other "investors."

Then it all blew up. Big surprise.

For blowing up the world's economy this Stupidity Crisis was falsely named an Economic Crisis by CNBS and 535 morons on a hill in DC (Ron Paul and a few other fiscally responsible adults excluded).

The idiots who created the mess were rewarded with a 700 billion
dollar "bailout." This "bailout" was anything but a bailout and had
a price tag of anything but 700 billion.

The actual price tag is closer to 11 trillion and puts us on the hook
for another 13-17 trillion - not counting interest.

Think about that for a second. This stupidity crisis is the equivalent of our Federal Debt which took a generations of politicians over a hundred years to wrack-up.

For anyone who still believes we live in a free country where capitalism reigns please show me one economic textbook which states that failure, and fraud get rewarded with borrowed taxpayer money.

For anyone who believes we live in a democracy please show me a
textbook that says the government will en-debt you and your kids
and their kids to pay for a failed business. How is that democratic?

"Law of Morons":

Years ago, while serving on a committee I came to a sad realization. Like gravity, there is the another invisible force which I dubbed "The Law of Morons."

Put a group of very intelligent, well meaning people in a room together, put them on a committee or some governmental body that is devoid of guiding principles or merit-based decision making and "The Law of Morons" will prevail.

The collective IQ will drop to the smallest shoe size in the room. And hope for loafers, because collectively this body won't be able to tie anything together - not even a single shoelace.

Government Creates Problems:

Basically our government is comprised of many well meaning
intelligent people who for whatever reason, re-election, greed
the "Law of Morons", corporate puppet strings, (read: lobbyist)
self interest, corporatocracy or whatever else, do nothing but
create massive problems. Lack of regulation, too much regulation.

And without any uncertainty --- too much DEBT along with a deficit
that will NEVER be paid.

They have failed us. Terribly!

With debt and a failed capitalistic society our democracy is now at risk. Serious risk.

"A democratic society requires a stable and effectively functioning economy. I trust that we and our successors at the Federal Reserve will be important contributors to that end." ~ Alan Greenspan

Serious irony there unless he was talking about the end of a democratic society.

Greenspan was primarily responsible for muzzling Brooksley Born's attempt to regulate derivatives.

Our deficit requires that we counterfeit "money" to service our debt payments.

Forget about GDP, it is a bogus measure cooked by the BEA (US Bureau of Economic Analysis) . GDP is so baked that it makes the folks who cooked Enron's books look like saints.

Let's focus on what we take in and what we pay out. We take in about 2 trillion in taxes and other revenues. We borrow about 2 trillion of which about 1 trillion must be taken off for debt service, and we spend well over 4 trillion.

To deal with the 1.6 trillion ++ shortfall we just print/counterfeit it. This debases the value of every dollar we hold, stealing wealth from every hard working American. It causes the need for more dollars to be injected into the system, which increases the amount of taxes that Americans pay.

There are only two crimes listed in our Constitution: Treason and Counterfeiting.

"Solutions Create More Problems" ~ Al Bartlett (Worked on the Manhattan Project).

Another asked, "Is there any intelligent life on earth to change
our future to a sustainable one?" Dr. Bartlett replied, "Is there
any intelligent life in Washington, DC is the bigger question?"

We Have a Corporatocracy: Not capitalism.

Corporatocracy: A government that serves the interest of, and
may de facto be run by corporations.

Some states have government workers who have powerful unions that influence the government's decisions. California has a massive pension mess, created in large part by government unions and elected officials who have catered to these unions.

"Too Big To Fail" is living proof that capitalism is dead.

These TBTF institutions that blew up the economy in 2008 with their stupidity crisis, at the very least deserved to fail. They blew it. That is the definition of capitalism. You do well you are rewarded, you screw up you close shop. You commit fraud and you do time.

But with a Corporatocracy you have Hank Paulson - a former
Goldman Sachs CEO worth about 700 million dollars who winds
up becoming our past Secretary of the Treasury.

There is a serious distinction between a civil servant and someone
who serves a corporation, especially the last corporation he worked
for. His salary was only six figures, but his benefit was that he got
to cash out of his stocks and pay no taxes.

He gave the morons who blew up the economy 700 billion dollars.
He had another former Goldman Sachs employee disperse the funds
while the current CEO of Goldman Sachs professed to be "Doing God's work."

In Summary: Our debt and our inability to revive capitalism and
cut the waste in government will be our demise.

Sadly, the only glimmer of hope I see is that Corporatocracy will destroy itself. I say sadly because it will destroy the average American citizen like some parasite that kills it's host.

Capitalism is dead and that is why we are totally screwed.

Federal Borrowing on Pace to Hit Debt Limit in Less Than a Week

By Terence P. Jeffrey
CNSNews.com
Wednesday, April 20, 2011

Federal borrowing is on pace to hit the legal limit on the national debt in less than a week.

As set in a law passed by Congress and signed by President Barack Obama on Feb. 12, 2010, the legal limit on the national debt is $14.2940 trillion.

As of the close of business Tuesday, according to the Daily Treasury Statement released at 4:00 pm today, the portion of the national debt subject to this legal limit was $ 14.268365 trillion. (The total national debt, including the portion exempted from the legal limit, was $14.3205 trillion.)

This left the U.S. Treasury with the authority to borrow only an additional $25.635 billion before it hits the statutory debt limit.

On April 4, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner sent a letter to Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D.-Nev.) in order to warn Congress that the Treasury was approaching the legal debt limit.

In an appendix to this letter, Geithner pointed to the rapid pace at
which new debt was accumulating.

“On average,” Geithner wrote, “the public debt of the United States increases by approximately $125 billion per month (although there are significant variations from month to month).”

In a 31-day month, $125 billion in new debt works out to an average of $4.03 billion in new debt per day.

At that pace, the $25.635 billion in legal borrowing authority the Treasury had left at the close of business on Tuesday would be exhausted in less than seven days.

Geithner’s letter did not spell out the time period he used to
determine that the debt increases at approximately $125 billion
per month.

In fact, according to the official debt figures published by the Treasury itself, the debt has been increasing at a somewhat faster pace than $125 billion per month during the Obama presidency.

On Jan. 20, 2009, the day Obama was inaugurated, the portion of
the nation debt subject to the legal limit (a small portion of the debt
is exempted from the limit) was $10.568142 trillion.

By April 19, 2011, the portion of the national debt subject to the
limit had increased to 14.268365 trillion.

That means that during the first 821 days of Obama’s presidency
the debt increased by $3.700223 trillion—or $4.5 billion per day.

The actual average monthly increase in the debt during Obama’s presidency has been $139.5 billion.

In fact, in the past six days, the debt has increased at a far faster
pace than either the $4.03 billion per day average suggested by
Secretary Geithner or the $4.5 billion per day that the Treasury
has increased the debt since Obama became president.

At the close of business last Wednesday, the debt subject to
the limit was $ 14.211984 trillion--or $56.381 less than the
debt recorded at the close of business Tuesday.

In other words, in the six days of Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, the national debt increased $56.381 billion---or almost $9.4 billion per day.

At that pace, the Treasury would exhaust its $25.635 in remaining borrowing authority in less than 3 days.

In his April 4 letter to Sen. Reid, Geithner said the Treasury was
then projecting that it would hit the debt limit by May 16.

“The Treasury Department now projects that the debt limit will be reached no later than May 16, 2011,” Geithner wrote.

“This is a projection based on the expected level of tax receipts,
the timing of our commitments and obligations over the next several
weeks, and our judgment concerning the level of cash balances we
need to operate.”

Geithner also warned that this projection might change—but not to the advantage of Congress.

“Although these projections could change,” Geithner wrote, “we do not believe that they are likely to change in a way that would give Congress more time in which to act.”

When Treasury is about to reach the debt limit, the Treasury secretary can take certain extraordinary steps to stretch the Treasury’s borrow-and-spending authority.

According to Geithner, however, these extraordinary measures
would only give the government another $165 billion in borrowing-
and-spending room.

That extra room is about what the government would typically
borrow in 40 days—using Geithner’s conservative estimate that
it borrows an average of $125 billion per month.

Waiting For The Spark

Waiting For The Spark

By Ralph Nader
Information Clearing House
April 19, 2011

What could start a popular resurgence in this country against
the abuses of concentrated, avaricious corporatism?

Imagine the arrogance of passing on to already cheated working people and the jobless enormous corporate losses?

This is achieved through government bailouts and tax escapes.

History teaches us that the spark usually is smaller than expected
and of a nature that is wholly unpredictable or even unimaginable.

But if the dry tinder is all around, as many deprivations and polls reveal, the spark, no matter how small, can turn into a raging inferno.

The Boston Tea Party lit up the American Revolution. Storming
the hated Bastille (prison) by impoverished Parisians launched
the French Revolution.

More recently, in December 1997, an Israeli military vehicle rammed a civilian van in the West Bank killing seven occupants and igniting the first Intifada.

Last December, a young fruit vendor, abused by thieving police in a small Tunisian town, immolated himself in the local square. Seen by millions on Facebook, this self-sacrifice launched the Tunisian and Egyptian overthrow of their long-time dictators.

Later, in Syria, after police arrested 13 youngsters in a southern border town for anti-government graffiti the place erupted in riots and rallies that are spreading to other cities.

A few weeks ago, many progressives and quite a few pundits
believed that the recurrent, ever larger February-March rallies
in Madison, Wisconsin by workers, students and others against
the Governors’ and the Legislature’s attack on public employee
unions and social services, following earlier blatant corporate
welfare enactments, would be the long-awaited spark.

The Madison eruption spread briefly to Ohio and Indiana where
Republican officials were moving in the same direction, punishing
workers and families while leaving the corporate and wealthy to
count their mounting privileges. There, the crowds were neither
as large nor as frequent.

In all these states, the Republicans got most of what they wanted,
albeit with a possible, future political price to be paid. The rallies
have subsided, not even culminating—as some organizers hoped—
in a gigantic march on Washington, D.C.

Granted, rallying a long repressed people into losing their fear and demanding, as in Cairo’s huge Tahrir Square “out with the dictator” is a simple, anthromorphic goal.

In our country, the rallies are hardly as clearcut, though use of the citizen right of recall for Republican legislators, and later Governor Walker himself, may produce an interesting accountability election.

But sparks are difficult to sustain.

In authoritarian regimes, there are few options for dissent or
airing one’s grievances. So when the spark does occur, the
climate is fertile for an explosion of outrages.

In the United States, there are largely myths such as “anyone
can sue,” or “anyone can run,” or “anyone can directly tell off
the President or the Mayor,” or “anyone can blow the whistle.”

These combine with a few celebrated successes by rebels or an
ordinary David taking on a Goliath for a win here and there, from
a corporate-government ruling class that bends a little so that it
doesn’t break.

Meanwhile, the inequality, gouging, political exclusions and overall
gaps between the top one percent and the rest tighten the grip of
the oligarchy and its draining, violent militarized empire.

Loss of control over almost everything that matters, including their children to daily direct corporate marketing of junk food and violent programming, is rampant.

Over seventy percent of those polled told Business Week that they believed corporations had “too much control over their lives”—and that was in 2000 before conditions and controls—viz, the Wall Street collapse, severe recession and taxpayer bailouts—worsened.

The American people don’t see much they can do to counter the pressures of greed and power that tracks them daily from debt to debt, from lower standards of living to outright penury, from denial of critical healthcare to the iron collar of the cruel credit score, from inscrutable, computerized bills to fine-print contracts trapping their sense of unfairness into waves of frustrations, from being put on hold by the companies until they’re told no, no, no or penalty, penalty, penalty!

How do we break the cycle of despair, exclusion, powerlessness,
and endless betrayal by those given the authority to bring down
the exploiters and oppressors to lawful accountability?

The Empire rips up the Constitution and takes the reserve army of the young unemployed to kill and die in aggressive wars of the White House’s choice, with Congress watching from the sidelines; its only role to funnel trillions of tax dollars into the insatiable war machines unauditable budgets.

President Eisenhower wanted us to control the “military-industrial complex”.

Instead it grew much more out of control. Eisenhower’s grave warning as expressed in his farewell address in 1961 was prescient.

The spark can come from a recurrent sequence of abuses that strike a special chord of deeply felt injustice. Or it could be a unique episode or bullying that tolls the feeling “enough already” throughout the land.

Such sparks cannot be manufactured; the power to arouse and break people’s routines is spontaneous.

When that moment comes, millions of Americans whose self-respect and keen sense of wrong will remind them precisely why our Constitution begins with “We the People” and not “We the Corporations”.

They will realize the necessity for a Jeffersonian revolution.

Speeches on Deficits, Then and Now

Speeches on Deficits, Then and Now

By Peter R
Fire Dog Lake
Tuesday April 12, 2011

Way back in January 2008, a certain presidential candidate gave a
speech at Ebenezer Baptist Church, the congregation once served
by Martin Luther King Jr. . . .

. . . “Unity is the great need of the hour.” That’s what Dr. King
said.

"It is the great need of this hour as well, not because it sounds pleasant, not because it makes us feel good, but because it’s the only way we can overcome the essential deficit that exits in this country. I’m not talking about the budget deficit. I’m not talking about the trade deficit."

"I'm talking about the moral deficit in this country. I’m talking
about an empathy deficit, the inability to recognize ourselves
in one another, to understand that we are our brother’s keeper
and our sister’s keeper, that in the words of Dr. King, “We are
all tied together in a single garment of destiny.”

Pause for a minute and let that sink in: “the empathy deficit is
the essential deficit that exists in this country.”

"We have an empathy deficit when we’re still sending our children
down corridors of shame, schools in the forgotten corners of
America where the color of your skin still affects the content of
your education."

"We have a deficit when CEOs are making more in ten minutes
than ordinary workers are making in an entire year, when
families lose their homes so unscrupulous lenders can make
a profit, when mothers can’t afford a doctor when their
children are stricken with illness."

"We have a deficit in this country when we have Scooter Libby
justice for some and Jena justice for others, when our children
see hanging nooses from a school yard tree today, in the present,
in the 21st century."

"We have a deficit when homeless veterans sleep on the streets of
our cities, when innocents are slaughtered in the deserts of Darfur,
when young Americans serve tour after tour after tour after tour of
duty in a war that should have never been authorized and should
have never been waged."

"We have an empathy deficit in this country that has to be closed."

"We have a deficit when it takes a breach in the levees to reveal the
breach in our compassion, when it takes a terrible storm to reveal
the hungry that God calls on us to feed, the sick that He calls on us
to care for, the least of these that He commands that we treat as
our own."

"So, we have a deficit to close. We have walls, barriers to justice
and equality that must come down, and to do this, we know that
unity is the great need of the hour.”

These words were spoken in 2008, but they seem even more appropriate today.

Those schools that were in trouble three years ago are in worse
shape now, as every state in the country has been cutting back
on funding, leaving every district to axe teachers and staff,
raise class sizes, and defer maintenance.

That “tour after tour after tour after tour of duty” has had at least one more “after tour” added onto it, andatrocities continue to pile up.

Foreclosure fraud is rampant, the facts of the global financial crisis show serious legal problems for the bankers that created it, and yet the SEC is “taking a light touch” with the banks and bank executives apparently are getting Scooter Libby justice. (Have you heard the news? Goldman Sachs is likely to “face fresh embarrassment” over their role in the global financial crisis.)

And as long as we’re talking about military action without congressional authorization, meet Libya.

If the need was great in 2008, it’s off the charts today.

But back to that candidate . . . skipping ahead in his remarks a bit:

"However, all too often, when we talk about unity in this country, we’ve come to believe that it can be purchased on the cheap. . . We offer unity, but we are not willing to pay the price that’s required."

"Of course, true unity cannot be so easily purchased."

"It starts with a change in attitudes. It starts with changing our hearts, and changing our minds, broadening our spirit. It’s not easy to stand in somebody else’s shoes. It’s not easy to see past our own differences."

"We’ve all encountered this in our own lives. What makes it even
more difficult is that we have a politics in this country that seeks
to drive us apart, that puts up walls between us."

"We are told that those who differ from us on a few things, differ from us on all things, that our problems are the fault of those who don’t think like us or look like us or come from where we do."

"The Welfare Queen, she’s taking our money. The Immigrant, he’s taking our jobs. The believer condemns the nonbeliever as immoral, and the nonbeliever chides the believer for being intolerant."

[snip]

"So let us say that on this day of all days, each of us carries with
us the task of changing our hearts and minds. The divisions, the
stereotypes, the scapegoating, the ease with which we blame the
plight of ourselves on others — all of that distracts us from the
common challenges that we face, war and poverty, inequality and
injustice."

"We can no longer afford to build ourselves up by tearing each other down. We can no longer afford to traffic in lies or fear or hate. It’s the poison that we must purge from our politics, the wall that we must tear down before the hour grows too late."

"Because if Dr. King could love his jailer, if he could call on the
faithful, who once sat where you do, to forgive those who had
set dogs and fire hoses upon them, then surely we can look past
what divides us in our time and bind up our wounds and erase the
sympathy deficit that exists in our hearts."

"But if changing our hearts and our minds is the first critical step,
we cannot stop there. It’s not enough to bemoan the plight of the
poor in this country and remain unwilling to push our elected officials
to provide the resources to fix our schools."

"It’s not enough to decry the disparities of health care and yet
allow the insurance companies and the drug companies to block
real reform in our health care system."

"It’s not enough — It’s not enough for us to abhor the costs of a
misguided war, and yet we continue to allow ourselves to be driven
by a politics of fear that sees the threat of an attack as a way to
scare up votes instead of a call to come together in a common
effort. . ."

Boy, did he nail it on that one.

As far as I can tell, the politics of fear is what makes DC run
these days, not only on terrorism but on the budget, health
care, social security, and everything else.

I wonder what ever happened to that guy. We sure could use someone like this in DC to take on the fear-mongers.

Say, did you hear that President Obama is going to give a
speech on Wednesday, addressing deficit reduction?

As the Washington Post headline writer summed things up,
“Obama’s New Approach to Deficit Reduction to include
Spending on Entitlements.”

Before he speaks on Wednesday, maybe Obama should go
listen to what that presidential candidate had to say at
Ebenezer Baptist Church a couple of years ago.

Justice or Just Us?

My Dear Fellow Americans:

I recently came across a Department of Justice Press Release,
in regards to a Caribbean Man, who is now being "Indicted for
Orchestrating Illegal Contributions to Presidential Campaigns"
and he is now facing up to 26 years in a Federal Prison.

On March 15, 2010, I personally sent e-mails to the FBI's,
Washington D.C., Minneapolis, Minnesota and Seattle, Washington
Federal Bureaus, in regards to my former boss and business partner,
Mr. Jon DeVaan who in 2008, directly orchestrated and directly made
multiple illegal campaign contributions to President Barack Obama's,
2008 presidential campaign.

But to this day, not only has Mr. DeVaan not been investigated,
indicted and/or charged with a Federal Crime, but for my sincere
and honest efforts as a, "Corporate/Government Whistleblower"
I have now had my multi-million dollar Internet start-up completely,
"Highjacked" by Mr. DeVaan and others very close to Mr. DeVaan.

I have been terminated by my most recent employer and I have been
totally denied all of my Unemployment Benefits, and last but most
certainly not the very least, I was also "Evicted" from my home of
the past six years, now rendering me "Homeless" for the past six
months, just for a little added good old fashion corporate and
government, retaliatory measure(s).

United States Attorney Thomas P. Obrien, very clearly states
below, "Our election laws are designed to preserve the integrity
of our democratic system and fair elections require transparency.
Concealing the true nature of campaign contributions deprives
voters of potentially crucial information and raises the specter
of elected officials being unduly influenced by unknown forces."

Apparently the above statement only applies to some people and
to some cases of illegal contributions to presidential campaigns
versus applying to all people and all cases of illegal contributions
to presidential campaigns, here in America.

Because you see my fellow Americans, a non-Corporate Executive is
now facing up to 26 years in a Federal Prison while the Corporate
Executive, hasn't even been investigated, indicted or even charged,
for committing the exact same Federal Crimes, and my very simple
question for everyone who is currently living here in the United
States of America, is this really, "Justice" here in America in 2011,
or is this really, '"Just Us" here in America in 2011?

In closing, "Have I now become your enemy by telling you the truth?" ~Galatians 4:16

Caribbean Man Indicted for Orchestrating Illegal Contributions to Presidential Campaigns

LOS ANGELES—A resident of the Dominican Republic was indicted
today on federal criminal charges for allegedly making tens of
thousands of dollars of illegal campaign contributions to three
candidates running for president of the United States and one
person running for governor of the state of Florida.

Ala’a al-Ali, also known as Ala’a Mohy Eddin Elali, 37, was named in
a six count indictment that accuses him of conspiracy, two counts of
making illegal “conduit” campaign contributions and three counts of
making illegal campaign contributions because he is a foreign national.

The indictment alleges that Ali was responsible for at least $60,000 in illegal contributions to be made to the three presidential candidates and approximately $5,000 in illegal contributions to be made to the gubernatorial candidate.

Ali allegedly conspired with others to recruit Southern California
residents to make contributions to the four campaigns with
promises that the “contributors” would be reimbursed. Ali
allegedly reimbursed the “contributors” with either cash or
checks drawn on his person account.

Ali allegedly violated the Federal Election Campaign Act, which prohibits:

an individual from making contributions to a person running for federal office that in the aggregate exceeds $2,300;

an individual from making a contribution in the name of another person (the person in whose name such a contribution is made is known as a “conduit contributor”); and

a foreign national from making any contributions in connection
with a federal, state or local election.

Ali allegedly violated all three prohibitions.

“Our elections laws are designed to preserve the integrity of our democratic system,” said United States Attorney Thomas P. O’Brien.

“Fair elections require transparency. Concealing the true nature
of campaign contributions deprives voters of potentially crucial
information and raises the specter of elected officials being unduly
influenced by unknown forces.”

The six charges in the indictment carry a statutory maximum sentence of 26 years in federal prison.

An indictment contains allegations that a defendant has committed
a crime.

Every defendant is presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty.

Ali is believed to be in the Dominican Republic.

The case against Ali is part of an ongoing investigation being conducted by the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Dear Federal Bureau of Investigation:

My name is Tony Whitcomb and this is my former boss/business partner, http://www.microsoft.com/presspass/exec/devaan/

Below is a list of Political Campaign Contributions Mr. Devaan has made to the Democratic Party going back to the year 2000 under the correct spelling of his last name, "Devaan."

On this list you will see in 2008, Mr. Devaan donated $28,500.00 to the Democratic Senatorial Campaign Committee on March 31, 2008.

Below this list is another list of Political Campaign Contributions Mr. Devaan made in 2008 to the, "Obama Victory Fund" on July 25, 2008 for another, $28,500.00.

But you will notice Mr. Devaan made this second large political campaign contribution to the Obama Victory Fund under a slightly different spelling of his last name, "Devann?"

You will also notice, "Mr. Devann" has all of the same address and
employment information as, "Mr. Devaan" but, "Mr. Devann" has
only donated money in the 2008 election cycle while, "Mr. Devaan"
has donated money in every election cycle going back to the year
2000.

I am not an attorney, but is it normal/legal for a private citizen to
be able to make multiple large political campaign contributions under
two different spellings of their last name?

It is my understanding the following limits apply to contributions
from individuals to candidates for all Federal offices:

$2,400 per Election to a Federal candidate -- Each primary, runoff, and general election counts as a separate election.

$30,400 per calendar year to a national party committee -- applies separately to a party's national committee, and House and Senate campaign committee.

545 vs. 300 Million

545 vs. 300 Million

By Charley Reese

Politicians are the only people in the world who create problems
and then campaign against them.

Have you ever wondered, if both the Democrats and the
Republicans are against deficits, WHY do we have deficits?

Have you ever wondered, if all the politicians are against inflation
and high taxes, WHY do we have inflation and high taxes?

You and I don’t propose a federal budget.

The President does.

You and I don’t have the Constitutional authority to vote on
appropriations.

The House of Representatives does.

You and I don’t write the tax code, Congress does.

You and I don’t set fiscal policy, Congress does.

You and I don’t control monetary policy, the Federal Reserve Bank
does.

One hundred senators, 435 congressmen, one President, and
nine Supreme Court justices, equates to 545 human beings
out of the 300 million are directly, legally, morally, and
individually responsible for the domestic problems that plague
this country.

I excluded the members of the Federal Reserve Board because
that problem was created by the Congress.

In 1913, Congress delegated its Constitutional duty to provide a
sound currency to a federally chartered, but private, central bank.

I excluded all the special interests and lobbyists for a sound reason.

They have no legal authority.

They have no ability to coerce a senator, a congressman, or a
President to do one cotton-picking thing.

I don’t care if they offer a politician $1 million dollars in cash.

The politician has the power to accept or reject it.

No matter what the lobbyist promises, it is the legislator’s
responsibility to determine how he votes.

Those 545 human beings spend much of their energy convincing
you that what they did is not their fault.

They cooperate in this common con regardless of party.

What separates a politician from a normal human being is an
excessive amount of gall.

No normal human being would have the gall of a Speaker, who
stood up and criticized the President for creating deficits.

The President can only propose a budget.

He cannot force the Congress to accept it.

The Constitution, which is the supreme law of the land, gives sole
responsibility to the House of Representatives for originating and
approving appropriations and taxes.

Who is the speaker of the House? John Boehner.

He is the leader of the majority party.

He and fellow House members, not the President, can approve
any budget they want.

If the President vetoes it, they can pass it over his veto if they
agree to.

It seems inconceivable to me that a nation of 300 million cannot
replace 545 people who stand convicted — by present facts — of
incompetence and irresponsibility.

I can’t think of a single domestic problem that is not traceable
directly to those 545 people.

When you fully grasp the plain truth that 545 people exercise
the power of the federal government, then it must follow that
what exists is what they want to exist.

If the tax code is unfair, it’s because they want it unfair.

If the budget is in the red, it’s because they want it in the red.

If the Army & Marines are in Iraq and Afghanistan it’s because
they want them in Iraq and Afghanistan …

If they do not receive social security but are on an elite retirement
plan not available to the people, it’s because they want it that
way.

There are no insoluble government problems.

Do not let these 545 people shift the blame to bureaucrats, whom
they hire and whose jobs they can abolish; to lobbyists, whose gifts
and advice they can reject; to regulators, to whom they give the
power to regulate and from whom they can take this power.

Above all, do not let them con you into the belief that there exists
disembodied mystical forces like “the economy,” “inflation,” or
“politics” that prevent them from doing what they take an oath to
do.

Those 545 people, and they alone, are responsible.

They, and they alone, have the power.

They, and they alone, should be held accountable by the people
who are their bosses.

Provided the voters have the gumption to manage their own
employees…

We should vote all of them out of office and clean up their mess!

Journalist Charley Reese (now retired) was part of the Orlando
Sentinel's staff for three decades between 1971-2001, during
which time he penned a thrice-weekly column which was
distributed to other newspapers nationwide by King Features Syndicate.

During the 1980s Reese wrote the first version of an editorial
opining that 545 people (i.e., the President of the United States,
plus all the members of Congress and the Supreme Court) "are
directly, legally, morally and individually responsible for the
domestic problems that plague this country," and he has amended,
updated, and republished that piece several times since then.

Greed Is Not A Virtue

Greed Is Not A Virtue

By David Korten

Profit-centered market fundamentalism has become
a national religion.

We humans are living out an epic morality play.

For millennia humanity’s most celebrated spiritual teachers have taught that society works best and we all enjoy our greatest joy and fulfillment when we share, cooperate, and are honest in our dealings with one another.

But for the past few decades, this truth has been aggressively challenged by a faith called market fundamentalism—an immoral and counter-factual economic ideology that has assumed the status of a modern state religion.

Its believers worship the God of money.

Stock exchanges and global banks are their temples. They proclaim that everyone does best when we each seek to maximize our individual financial gain without regard to the consequences for others.

In the eyes of a market fundamentalist, to sacrifice profit for some presumed social or environmental good is immoral. The result is a public culture that proclaims greed is a virtue and sharing is a sin.

Having established control of the institutions of the economy, media, education, government, and even religion, market fundamentalists initiated a global social experiment to test their theory.

The results are now in.

The prophets of the older faith traditions were right. Our common future depends on rediscovering their truth and redefining our public culture and governing institutions accordingly.

The following are some of the more visible elements of Wall Street’s global campaign of moral perversion.

It uses control of media outlets, advertising, and politicians to shape
and spread a global culture of individualistic greed, material self-
indulgence, ruthless competition, and moral irresponsibility.

Through the pursuit and celebration of financial gain at any cost, it provides role models for immoral behavior.

It undermines democracy and the legitimacy of government by buying politicians to do its bidding.

It uses student loan programs to get the best and brightest youth mired in debts they can repay only by selling themselves to jobs that serve Wall Street interests.

It buys up and monopolizes control of the world’s land and water resources in anticipation of extracting monopoly profits by charging what the market will bear as scarcity increases.

It uses its financial power and creative accounting skills to manipulate markets and obscure market signals, as when helping governments hide their debt or helping corporate CEOs hide their insider bets against the future of their own companies.

It buys the deeply discounted debt obligations of hapless underwater
homeowners and countries on the open market and then demands
full value payment from governments or philanthropists who step in
to lend a helping hand to the afflicted.

It puts in place global rules requiring that if a government introduces
regulations that prevent a foreign corporation from harming or
killing people with its toxic products or discharges, the country’s
government must compensate the corporation for the profits it
estimates it will lose.

By capitalism’s perverse moral logic, if a person sells toxic assets by knowingly misrepresenting them as sound, the fault lies not with the misrepresentation of the seller, but rather with the lack of due diligence on the part of the overly trusting borrower.

When the assets prove worthless and threaten both the solvency of both the seller and the borrower, the logic says the party responsible for the misrepresentation has a moral obligation to demand redress from the government, “Buy my toxic assets at face value and make me whole so that I return to my trade in toxic assets, or I will be forced to stop lending and crash the economy.”

Step back to take in the big picture, and it turns out Wall Street market fundamentalists have proclaimed the seven deadly sins of pride, greed, envy, anger, lust, gluttony, and sloth to be virtues.

In turn they have proclaimed the seven life-serving virtues of
humility, sharing, love, compassion, self-control, moderation,
and passion to be sins against the market.

There is a widespread sense that with Wall Street’s apparent
recovery, the window of opportunity for serious structural change
has passed. Such a judgment, however, is premature.

Far from closing, the window of opportunity for serious change continues to widen as public awareness of Wall Street corruption grows and true and appropriate moral outrage builds.

Most psychologically healthy adults recognize in their heart of hearts
the moral perversion of the old economy, but may fear to speak up
because so many experts—including even some religious leaders—
continuously assure us in so many words that greed is good, even
that God wants us to be financially rich and financial wealth is a
mark of God’s favor.

If all who share a mature moral consciousness find the courage to
speak the simple truth that greed is driving us to collective self-
destruction and cooperation is essential to our common salvation,
we can put the perversion behind us and secure the future of our
children.

March Madness

U.S. Government Spent More Than Eight Times Its Monthly Revenue
By Terence P. Jeffrey
Monday, April 04, 2011

(CNSNews.com) - The U.S. Treasury has released a final statement
for the month of March that demonstrates that financial madness
has gripped the federal government.

During the month, according to the Treasury, the federal government grossed $194 billion in tax revenue and paid out $65.898 billion in tax refunds (including $62.011 to individuals and $3.887 to businesses) thus netting $128.179 billion in tax revenue for March.

At the same time, the Treasury paid out a total of $1.1187 trillion. When the $65.898 billion in tax refunds is deducted from that, the Treasury paid a net of $1.0528 trillion in federal expenses for March.

That $1.0528 trillion in spending for March equaled 8.2 times the $128.179 in net federal tax revenue for the month.

The lion’s share of this federal spending went to redeem Treasury securities that had matured during the month—most of which were short-term Treasury bills that have terms of one year or less.

In fact, during March the Treasury redeemed $705.3 billion in
Treasury securities of which $623.9 billion were short-term bills
with a term of one year or less.

After the disbursements made to pay off the $705.3 billion in loans that came due in March, three of the other top four federal spending items for the month were entitlements programs.

The other top item was payments to defense contractors.

The Treasury paid $49.8 billion in Social Security benefits in March, $47.4 billion in Medicare benefits, and $22.575 billion in Medicaid benefits.

It also paid $37.9 billion to defense contractors.

To help pay off its $1.0528 trillion in monthly bills on only $128.179
in monthly tax revenue, the Treasury turned primarily to new
borrowing. During the month, according to the Treasury statement,
the government sold $786.5 billion in new securities.

It also drew down its cash balance from $190.6 billion at the beginning of the month to $118.1 billion at the end of the month. It also reaped $18 billion from the sale of assets in the Troubled Asset Relief Program.

The federal government’s cash-flow situation was summed up pungently in Senate Budget Committee testimony by Erskine Bowles, who served as chief of staff to President Bill Clinton and is now the co-chair of President Barack Obama’s National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility.

“I'm really concerned,” Bowles told the committee last month.

“I think we face the most predictable economic crisis in history. A
lot of us sitting in this room didn't see this last crisis as it came
upon us. But this one is really easy to see. The fiscal path we are
on today is simply not sustainable."

“This debt and these deficits that we are incurring on an annual basis are like a cancer and they are truly going to destroy this country from within unless we have the common sense to do something about it,” said Bowles.

“I used to say that I got into this thing for my grandchildren,” Bowles said.

“I have eight grandchildren under five years old. I'll have one more
in a week. And my life is wonderful and it is wild. But this problem
is going to happen long before my grandchildren grow up."

"This problem is going to happen, like the former chairman of the Fed said, or the Moody's said, this is a problem we're going to have to face up,” he said.

“It may be two years, you know, maybe a little less, maybe a little more. But if our bankers over there in Asia begin to believe that we're not going to be solid on our debt, that we're not going to be able to meet our obligations, just stop and think for a minute what happens if they just stop buying our debt."

“What happens to interest rates?” asked Bowles.

“And what happens to the U.S. economy? The markets will absolutely devastate us if we don't step up to this problem. The problem is real, the solutions are painful, and we have to act.”

Barack, "We Won't Get Fooled Again!"

Tony --

Today, we are filing papers to launch our 2012 campaign.

We're doing this now because the politics we believe in does not
start with expensive TV ads or extravaganzas, but with you -- with
people organizing block-by-block, talking to neighbors, co-workers,
and friends. And that kind of campaign takes time to build.

So even though I'm focused on the job you elected me to do, and the race may not reach full speed for a year or more, the work of laying the foundation for our campaign must start today.

We've always known that lasting change wouldn't come quickly or easily. It never does. But as my administration and folks across the country fight to protect the progress we've made -- and make more -- we also need to begin mobilizing for 2012, long before the time comes for me to begin campaigning in earnest.

As we take this step, I'd like to share a video that features some folks like you who are helping to lead the way on this journey.

In the coming days, supporters like you will begin forging a new
organization that we'll build together in cities and towns across
the country. And I'll need you to help shape our plan as we create
a campaign that's farther reaching, more focused, and more
innovative than anything we've built before.

We'll start by doing something unprecedented: coordinating millions of one-on-one conversations between supporters across every single state, reconnecting old friends, inspiring new ones to join the cause, and readying ourselves for next year's fight.

This will be my final campaign at least as a candidate. But the cause
of making a lasting difference for our families, our communities and
our country has never been about one person. And it will succeed only if we work together.

There will be much more to come as the race unfolds. Today, simply let us know you're in to help us begin, and then spread the word:

Thank you,

Barack

No Joke: Trump Is Right, Obama Is Hiding Something Big

No Joke: Trump Is Right, Obama Is Hiding Something Big

By Chris Kitze, Publisher

This was too good to resist. From Anonymous Email:

As an IRS tax examiner, one of many former federal jobs, I have
seen what it appears Barry Soetoro has done, mostly by illegal
aliens attempting to acquire a new identity in the U.S and/or
criminals looking to acquire a new ID.

Barry, AKA Obama, was lawfully adopted by a foreign national, Lolo Soetoro, and Barry's name was legally changed to "Barry Soetoro". (Barry’s own admission)

Barry Soetoro was also made an official legal Indonesian citizen.
(again Barry’s own admission) The adoption would be noted in
Barry's vital statistics record in Hawaii on his original birth
certificate...

Or Lolo Soetoro may have always been Barry's legal birth father. The public does not know for sure at this point who Barry's father really was and Barry himself may not know.

Barry was raised as a Muslim in Indonesia and attended a Catholic funded school that permitted all faiths to attend.

Barry's mother dropped him as a dependent for some reason, maybe even when Barry was adopted by Lolo Soetoro. His mother's passport records dropped Barry as a dependent indicating Barry was no longer a legal dependent of his mothers.

(The passport records of his mother have been produced showing Barry was no longer a dependent when Barry was permanently residing in Indonesia.) Barry went to Hawaii to live with his alleged grandparents after Lolo Soetoro and Barry's mother divorced.

A "certificate of live birth" can have names changed on it including a child's birth name, and birth parent’s names. Even a modified date of birth can be on a "certificate of live birth". This occurs frequently for adopted children where the birth parent does not want the child to know who they are.

The public has no idea who Barry’s real birth father is or who Barry’s real birth mother is. (Barry could have been adopted by his mother) The original birth certificate is the only legal vital statistics record of a person’s birth parents, birth location, birth date, etc…

I can get a “certificate of live birth” for a dead person; I cannot get a birth certificate of a dead person without “Deceased” on it. (I’ve tried)

There is no evidence Barry Soetoro ever lawfully changed his name
to “Barrack Hussein Obama".

There is no proof Barry Soetoro was born with the name "Barrack Hussein Obama".

I’m willing to bet the name “Barrack Hussein Obama” is not present on the real birth certificate as Barry’s birth name or as Barry’s birth father.

I have pictures of me with my mother and Jimmy Buffet… that doesn’t make him my father even if I start using the name Jimmy Buffet.

The public knows Barry Soetoro finished high school in Hawaii as
Barry Soetoro and attended Occidental as Barry Soetoro where he
did drugs and flunked out of school.

After dropping out of Occidental, Barry showed up in New York, homeless and on drugs. (Barry’s own admission)

Barry then hooked up with a Pakistani to live with and traveled back to Indonesia on his new boyfriend’s dime to renew his Indonesian passport and traveled to Pakistan with him.

Ask any law enforcement officer in a large city or detective and they will tell you homeless young men on drugs in large cities usually end up as male prostitutes. Barry ended up as a world traveler with a degree… (Not likely)

Barry Soetoro returned to New York from Pakistan and began using the fictitious name “Obama” for some reason. (again Barry Soetoro’s own admission)

One could only suspect that a person addicted to drugs returning
from Pakistan to New York, the main route for Afghan heroin into
the U.S., maybe Barry had a reason to start using a new name.

There are literally over 1 million open warrants on file in New York… maybe Barry is one of them?....

After spending some time in New York allegedly working under the name “Obama”, It appears Barry used the fictitious name "Barrack Hussein Obama" for the first time to file his federal taxes in Connecticut at a Post Office Box for the purpose of evading paying taxes in New York and /or to establish a new identity. (This is a felony with no statute of limitation.)

When the IRS received Barry Soetoro’s federal tax filing, the IRS could not attach the name Barrack Hussein Obama to the SSI number provided or the address provided.

So the IRS assigned the fictitious name "Barrack Hussein Obama" a tax ID number for a person from Connecticut (Where Barry unlawfully filed a federal tax form using a false name).

Barry Soetoro began using the tax ID number as his SSI number when using the fictitious name Barrack Obama. This is why Barry Soetoro has a Connecticut SSI number.

When I worked for the IRS, I saw this occur more than once and
yes, it is a felony to knowingly file a fraudulent federal tax forms.

Most of the politicians that cheat on their taxes claim it was an accident. That is how they get away with their tax cheat crimes.

Using a fake name is no accident.

It appears Barry fled New York to Chicago using his new identity
to get a job. He likely ordered a fake diploma to bolster his new
identity as "Obama".

Fake Diploma's were very big in the 80's and diploma mills were
even being used by federal workers to get promotions.

There is evidence his alleged attendance at Columbia was faked (Barry never attended Columbia) and Barry lied his way into Harvard (he had no transcripts to get in)...

Including telling the Saudi royal family he was fighting in Afghanistan with the Muslim Jihad against the Russians, so they would help him get into a law school.

The Saudi's apparently loved Barry's story of Jihad in Pakistan/
Afghanistan and paid for Barry to attend Harvard under the name
"Obama".

The Saudi family has admitted to paying for Obama to attend Harvard and gave Harvard a gift of $20 million dollars.

Harvard in turn made their special attendy President of the law review a person that never wrote a single law review....

I guess that is what $20 million buys at Harvard.

It is unlikely Barry was a Jihadist and was most likely a drug mule if anything, maybe even a CIA street hire to haul Afghan heroin back to New York, so the Afghans could buy U.S. made stinger missiles with U.S. dollars to shoot down Russian helicopters?...

I hired people over seas to do work below my pay grade all the time, even foreign nationals...

I think this is the story Barry told the Saudi's, but he was most likely really just a drug mule/dealer and probably still wanted on an outstanding warrant in New York.

Barry’s selective service registration is not normal either…

www.debbieschlussel.com/4428/exclusive-did-next-commander-in-chief-falsify-selective-service-registration-never-actually-register-obamas-draft-registration-raises-serious-questions/

After I looked at Barry’s selective service filing I noticed it was
most likely fraudulent too based on the name he used.

Barry did not start using the name "Obama" until he returned from Pakistan (long after he flunked out of school in California) His selective service record (maintained in Chicago coincidentally) shows he registered at a Hawaiian post office as “Obama” in Sept 1980...

Problem, Barry was getting high in California at Occidental in Sept 1980 (Barry's own admission) and was not using the fictitious name "Obama" at that time.

Barry began using the fictitious name "Obama" only after he returned from Pakistan. The selective service filing is fraudulent.

Barry returned to Chicago and attend a semi-christian radical black church with his first female love Michelle.

Barry admits keeping in touch with Phil Boener, who traveled to New York from Occidental to be with Barry and was most likely Barry's first love.

Barry still could not get a real job, because he was still a fraud, even with his Harvard degree in hand he could lie and take the Bar exam, but he could not work as a lawyer for a major law firm without a back ground investigation and he would never pass one.

So, Michelle got Barry a job at her law firm. Barry never filed a
case alone and never filed a motion.

He wrote lots of memos according to the law firm where Barry
worked. (I think they know Barry is a fraud and don't want to
be sued by previous clients)

Barry rescinded his law licenses, so as not to be disbarred for fraud.

The Bar knows Barry lied on his application.

Michelle also had to turn over her law license for her involvement in corruption with the Chicago mayors office.
